Meet Our Team
Our early childhood program is led by our Director and inspired through collaboration between our teachers. We believe the teacher’s role in a child’s journey is to support and facilitate their growth and development. To assume this role, to teach young children, is a great privilege and responsibility. Teaching is a mission – a valued and time-honored Jewish tradition. Our teachers encourage our children to explore, to wonder, to reflect, to be independent, to engage in critical thinking, to love, and to laugh. We continuously strive to respond to the individual needs of each child. In order to uphold the high standards of our program, staff development is ongoing throughout the year. This ensures that our teachers remain alert to the ever-changing needs of today's families.
Some of our teachers are fluent in Hebrew or English, providing the children with an opportunity to be in a multilingual setting. Current research shows that second language acquisition is highly beneficial to the development of brain functions and cognitive skills. Our coordinated curriculum in both English and Hebrew leads to a high level of academic rigor and an opportunity for learning that is engaging and meaningful. In the Reggio Emelia approach, the teacher sees herself as a learner – alongside the children – open to new thoughts and ideas. The teacher listens to the children, observes and documents their work, and provokes their thinking.
Our director, Sara Naiditch, and our teachers are a dedicated group of professionals whose level of commitment to each child does not stop at the classroom door, and whose commitment to early childhood education is truly an avocation. As a result, they bring to their jobs a unique and special blend of professional skills and personal experience.
